Often I ignore the nightly news... maybe wish I do so tonight... flip the channels and saw the title... which already hinted the ungraceful part of human nature... well... I can only sit through and watch it entirely...

This story, actually isn't new, BBC covers years ago, and G.I. about it, thousands hits reply... so, it's actually not a new story. Just ABC put it into action and videotape the entire process for show.
I'm not sure I should applaud ABC for doing so or otherwise... but uncover the darkest part of human nature isn't always soothing. I think, sometimes, it is necessary to bring it under the sun for the public, least grab the attention for a while, until it dies down again, root to where it was... thus, business as usual...

This story reminds me about the sex trafficking in Cambodia from Dateline couple years ago: Children for sale....
Which is about the similar story, just sole purpose for teen prostitution...

Well, there are many dark side of life, exists whether you know it or not, just there... Should we do something about it? Yes and No.
Yes, in term of, we should help the needed one, cause they do need helps, it's not their fault that they strap in the situation, often time, it's the children whom is suffering, caused by the errors from the adults, parent or not, or the society.
No, in a way, it's a chain of effects that root so deep, trace back to the society's fundamental value and fallbacks. What caused these issues? Human pursuit of supersede... When one's not satisfy, an alternative method will be found. Thus, the issues are continuous... just never ends.. unless all human being has no desires... which... is unlikely...

Whom to help? this is a really abstract to define these days... for the case in Haiti and Cambodia, once you save a bunch, days later, a new fresh pack arise... as long as the trend/tradition's there, it's endless... worst every, some will trick you, use your compassion to benefit themselves when they quickly learn the 'wonderful foreigners'...
Much like the tour guide's warning in India, never give a dime when bunch of poors children around you... they will storm you out...
Are they poor, yes, need helps, yes... but also being used by certain individuals or group, gang, etc.
What has this world comes to? Can't help others in situations... has to think the entire process through and plot the consequences out... What is this?? Is human nature really this sad?
Many of us, believe or not, are not living in a wealthy environment, yeah, we are upper middle class, yet, like my friends sadly quote: 'a poor upper middle class'... Which... unfortunately, is true...
Binded in the middle, paying taxes to the upper, giving to the lower, left with few... as for upper, they waste whenever they like; lower, use social benefits like running water w/o care... either super rich or extreme poor; no need to worry... just crunch down the middle groups...
That's the awful truth around the world... the global society trend that's happening everywhere... superpower U.S., Europe, rising nation China, India, Third world Africans, etc, etc...
Is the fundamental of a society coming to an end? that the structure is safe no more? would the old style of noble, peasant, slaves works better?? least that lasted couple centuries... ... don't slap me... it's true... modern democracy only last two, three century max... and already hints of downfalls...
Oh~ why can't we be happy for a while... hmm... I guess those who done the child slavery or prostitution is happy... else why doing so... just... they build the happiness on others' suffering... which... is just wrong...
Damn those people...
How many can we help, how many can I help... I wish, one day, I can know the answer...
