Well, I guess I suppose to write something about the trips from Asia in Aug., and one for N.Y. back in Septs.... then it's almost end of Oct. now... hmm... I'm quite lazy~ Yeah, I know, c'est moi~~ ^__^
Then again, I'm off to Taiwan again this Sunday night... so... things can wait lo~~ hahahaa~~ =p

Ok, recent events... what else, stock market crisis + harsh recessions + world economy dominos + lack of confidence + .... etc, etc.
In my honest opinion, yes, my 'honest opinion'... this is normal, and should go even deeper, lower... for one, everything thus far is, in fact, overpriced...
The world market is built on a mock up foundations, if there is an actual foundation, that people are playing with the numbers, it's the numbers that fools people. Whatever indexes are a mere illusion that controlled by few powerful hands, not you or I, it's only in the hands of the minor 'elites'.
In the year of 2008, many things happened, if those things happened in different year, my guess is that, the U.S. government will careless about them... Who care if Leman, AIG, WaMu are in trouble? it's the free market, fix your own issue; the way you spent/charge is after all, overpriced. The government truly has no responsibility to babysit you.
Good thing is, we have a serious election this year... thus, govt got to do something to make it look good... that's all... don't trust it too much... after the election... it's back to free market again... Economists already hinted, the recession could go on till '12 or '13 the latest... 'cause in the last ten years or so... most things are built upon on a hole...
Foreclosures, it's a pity to look the number of houses in that 'market', in a way, it's a sadness to the children of those families. On the other hand, it's the mistakes and the risk they took or I should say, fall into the trap set by those lenders. Those irresponsible bank/lenders who market out the attractive interest loans that made people believe they can afford things that they shouldn't have... It's a gamble, and, they lost.... Is there a reason we should bail them out??
More like if you're in a casino, gamble out of your league and lost everything, then you want others to bail you out? How's that going to happen? We don't see angels often these days... You dig your own tomb, so should you just step right in... don't expect others to pull you out... we are not in the 50's...
So, I'm evil... I want to be evil... 'cause evil one don't have responsibilities... yet, how evil can one get?? Most of the time, it's those 'good guys' that drag you around and around, 'cause everything they do, they, happened to have a reason behind it... and you can't refuse... evil is good, evil is good....
Yeah, come to that point... someone I barely know send me a wedding invitation and sort of force me to reply... and I found out that not many of our friends received the invitation, only a 'few', very few... so... why am I on her list???
Then the 'enforcing' is from an email, not a very kind one, actually, much like yelling, 'Hey~'.... hey you #$%@.... so... I just sent a check over and say not attending.... guess it's a big check, 'cause she replied 'generous gift'... well, that's what you hope to receive, isn't it?? Please take the mask out... faking it isn't not healthy... and don't try to be the level you're not, even if your wedding is set at the high end places, if you're not, it all felt outta of place... a review from the wedding goer told me that... I'm just glad I ditched that one... total waste of time...
I do, have a wedding that I want to attend but can't... My high school pal Jerome's wedding last Sat. in Maryland. It's a 10+ years of friendship that I value deeply, I'm so happy for him to be the 3rd among us to get marry, rest of us... well, just hanging there, =p So, an old pal decided to get marry is a big news, too bad that majority of us are in West Coast and it's not exactly convenient to flight over there for a weekend... though I promised to attend then broke it due to a trip to Asia soon afterwards... Felt so bad about this...
Two weddings, two different modes and perspectives, I believe they are all good people, just, I don't see the first one as valuable as my old pal. That is, in my own opinion. Actually, it's the first 'hijack' wedding invitation I ever received and it's from a sort of... strangers... life is fun, isn't it....

Oh, last note... My iMac 24 shuts down... a nice hard drive failure... only last 5 month since I got it... I'm so proud of myself to actually kill a Mac that fast.... either bad sectors or the SMART failure... a Hitachi one... why can't they use Seagate or WD? at least it's more reliable...
The bad thing about iMacs are, you can't repair it yourself... if it's a PC, I already broke them apart and change another drives... then, sorry, it's a Mac, you have to follow the fool procedures... send it back... let the 'pros' do them... well, it's under the warranty anyway...
So, the first ever Mac repair experience... honestly, not sure what to do... >_< K, look around the Apple site and find the favorite Los Gatos' store... eh... Genius Bar?! k... though the appointment time are too weird so I just took the iMac to the store in the morning around 11am...
In there... I just know that everything is under the protocols... the blue shirt guy has to punch the info in to wait in queue... (come to think of it, when the dark blue shirt guy came to ask if I need any helps, I should just grab him and yell~) Why? you ask... because if I done that... I wouldn't have to wait there for a stupid 23 minutes.... just to have those genius check out that the HDD is dead... it's dead, need a new one, period.
K, since I don't have the 'appointment', I have to be on standby... to see if no one shows up for their 'appointment', then I can jump in with the dark blue shirt Genius to talk my issue over... This is... foolproof for those who don't know a thing....
I have to say, from an IE perspective, it's quite a good system of service that do provide reasonable customer services fulfillment. Only thing is, they have to let people know before hand, 'the appointment' is crucial to have the service. They should put a note on that in the Apple website and let people know it upfront, otherwise, people whom don't know a thing walk right into store in weekends... yeah, have fun... I was only there Monday morning...
Secondly, the employee should have more knowledge on their services and crucial factors and queuing methods. Maybe I'm harsh on them, since most of the non 'dark blue' ones aren't technical gurus, they, honestly, don't know a thing... so they wouldn't know what to expect when symptoms come up or the way customers description to them. All they know is, follow the protocols... viola... it's their job... nothing more, nothing less... Yeah, I'm too harsh on those kids...
So, the 'dark blue' one just take less than 10 mins to fix my issue, mostly she's just check the drive failure or not and let me sign the paper work... that's... a no brainier... at least to me... yet, maybe I'm wrong...
What I would suggest is that they add a better description of what a customer needs, so the 'dark blue' one can decide whom to call, they can control the priorities of the queue, eliminate the lag time and clean the store out ASAP... unless they 'hope' they stay there longer to, 'maybe' get something... since they are... 'bored'...
Oh well, next time, just make an appointment if you need anything in the store... now, I know... ^_^
-------
Well, I'm quite wordy... and if you're reading this... you're bored as well.... hope I did let you gain something new... if not, well, your time already wasted... and... smile~~ =p
sincerely,
& truly, happy always!!
