--> Nov. 2012, the fight goes on.
I think this year's election is going to be even tighter, and nastier...
Both parties had good conventions and hold its believers closely. Course, there are still many intended 'miss information' to mislead people, lure them into their camp.
Candidates: I actually am aware of both when they first came to national stage:
Romney: '02 Utah Winter Olympics.
Obama: '04 DNC convention.
I liked them both, and figure they'll shine one day, I was surprised by Obama's eagerness to be president and actually beat H.Clinton. That's a surprise due to Twitter/web. The power of internet, and youth.
However, I never look Obama as a good speaker, mainly his head is always tilting from left to right, rarely stay on the center. Well, he's reading the speech off teleprompter, I do hope he's involved in speech writing... Plus, he always tilt his head up to an angle w/ chin up position while he talks (maybe due to his vision so he has to). You can study his key speeches and find the patterns.
Romney, well, if he figure out what he wants to say, he's pretty decent speaker. He thinks too much, thus lack the charisma for many to trust him. I suppose it's part of his training background in business world made him this way, investment banking needs to consider many finite details before action. This type of personality leads to his awkward public image.
In a nutshell, I believe Romney's more capable in doing the jobs than Obama can. Yet, he lacks good supporters, unlike Obama's trick to lure key Clinton people into his administration, winner takes all approach. Even though there's huge difference between Obama and Clinton camp still, you can sense the untidily air during B.Clinton's speech, how M.Obama's apathetically motion.
No doubt B & H Clinton are much better and old fashion natural charismatic speaker, rousing the audiences with whatever they said. These type of politician is rare, seriously... I can't wait to see Chelsea's turn in the future, how it will compare. As H.Clinton marked earlier, she's retired from the administration, well, perhaps, 2016 again? Who knows, but this could also mean that the Clinton people are leaving Obama camp, in pursuit of other intends. This could be a trigger, since Obama relies on B.Clinton's knowledge and people during the last 3+ years, if Clinton camp shut Obama out, he better have good backups.
One interesting thing is: in 2016, Chelsea would meet the minimum age requirement for U.S. President, well, on the tight limit, since she was born on Feb. 1980. If the Clinton camp is thinking about this instead of Hillary, it would be very wild and interesting!!
Out of RNC & DNC, I can't stop thinking about 2016, as I can see more rising stars in RNC than DNC, which, is interesting.
The other thing I don't get it is how they portrait the Obamas.
Honestly, they aren't really the 'middle class'. Both went to Ivy League schools, success lawyers, M.Obama's relatives 'aren't middle class' at all...
The way they kept saying they care about Middle Class is just weird.. The reality, NO ONE really care about the middle class once they're in office.
The range of middle class is huge, in any developed nation, the middle class is the new lower class. Where heavy tax is upon on, worked for nothing. Social elites and poor population don't really care about job or tax. Rich people can evade in many ways, poor people just squeeze welfare funds, and more often, abuse the system. Thus, middle class people pay the most, got the less.
To trigger the middle class votes, is a tactic, since we are the largest population in 'modern poverty'.
That is why they have to associate the Obamas to relate to us. But, really? can all middle classes attend Ivy League and be successful lawyers? Not a fat chance.
They have reached into upper middle class by the time they attend college, then straight into social elites. They look back, for votes, not necessary care about the stage where they once was. It's politic, don't trust any, else you would cry, deeply.
From a neutral point, people shouldn't really care who got elected, as long as they can do the job, I really don't care if they put a pig as the president, as long as the pig can do the job well.
All because it's an arena full of behind the scene secrets, deals, and all those dirty little things where public would never know nor understand. For that, whomever wish to play and can play well, by all means, go ahead, act well, and do well. By the end of the day, if they can still keep their initial heart and compassion, it's all good.
To be elected as the U.S. President, or any president/leaders nowadays is the dumbest thing one can wish to do. In information age, it's not as fun as twenty years ago, thus the job, the pressure, the humiliation, is part of the job description. Only those fool enough would enter, yet, also with greatest honor and secrets.
Power, is one thing many can't let go, and wish to pursuit. In, any stage, any industry.
Pursuit of one's pureness, would be more fun.
