O brave new world!
O brave new world!

What a day this would say? A day with all the brave news...
An octuplets' birth in CA; National mass layoff of aprox. 75k, lead by Home Depot, Caterpillar, Sprint Nextel and etc.; Pre. Obama's first interview with Arabic station, also another stimulus plan to the Capital; Oh yeah, tranisition to DTV postpone another 4 months, due to lack of rebates... Aussi Open in 48C heat... What a nice day... As in Chinese's Lunar New Year day, número uno...
Well, like I joked a year or so ago, please don't turn this recession into a depression, although we might need one... seriously... to reshape many things up...
The last Great and only depression was saved by the war, which was after a war, hmm, did we had a war that I'm not aware of?? Well, economic war I presume... all the real wars are consider small scale that shouldn't shake us into this mess...
We don't need an economist to tell us that we are in deep troubles, in U.S. or else where in the world... In fact, an economist would know much less than a typical Chinese guy in mainland China... Boy, they do know things... all sounded so professional and with all the reasons behind them... thanks to the new world media, our years of education can't compete with 24 hour broadcasting of Phoenix Television... no doubt... I'm shame to be in front of them... knowledge is power... >_<
Well, afterthoughts are great, yet post no solutions to any real issues, unfortunately, people are proud of afterthoughts than provide a reasonable suggestions...
In the wake of oil price hike, it does came down to sub $2 now, and guess what, our smart govn't are thinking of raise the gas tax... wow.. nice solution; and Arnold's even smarter, we will have services taxes coming aim at us soon... so... anything that's not going to be tax in the future? should we pay birth tax?? that set of octuplets does waste a lot of energey and manpower...
With all the layoffs, people are flowning into the Green sectors, looks like the only sector that's hiring... yet, Green isn't all the solutions, the greener we go, the more wastes we would create, all because people will consume more, it is a habit that people can't remove from their life now. Think of a day you can live without electricity? that, would be really hard... walk to work, yeah right... we don't all live in metro, even people live in Metros don't walk to work... Green, is another excuse for us to distroy ourselves... thought I like solar power, mentioned in class ten or so years ago, yet no one trust me... T_T
So, can the stupid Govn't please try to cut their boring spendings first?? Those ineffective wastes that noncontribute to anyone but themselves... Politic is dirty, so is human heart, once in power, all sort of creative thinkings comes to mind and act without errors... snowball rolls up and down, hill or not... it just rolls... collecting middle class' lifeworks along with it...
In any situatuion, the middle sandwich is the hardest hit, no doubt; upper noblemans, fortune isn't a measurement that can be understand by nonclass members; lower peasant crowds, none to fear with, they relie on society treats, social welfares, take it and abuse it, by them or someone smart enough... that left out the middle classes, from lower to upper middle classes, range from $80-600k annual salary group... they would be the one whom pay all the taxes and get none the benefits, yet has a status need to climb up, until the end of life, which also contribute about half the life earnings to the Gang's of Govn't throughout the world... their decedents, start the game all over again... repeatly feed the monsters, so they can be high and royal at the top...
That is sad... touché~ life isn't fun to begin with... we, all cried, isn't it?
Today isn't fun, in fact, this year isn't fun at all, it's only the beginning of the snowball to, fall... it has to fall, once we fall down completely, then we can start fixing things that are not balance to begin with... housing, finance, political, environmental, cultural, all and all, are waiting for a fix... are we going to step on top of others again or we going to balance? I think, human nature, only knows how to step on the top... round and round throughout history... it's the same game that people never gets tire of... Well, Chinese history is a fun read...
Jan. 26, a day with all the brave news... a brave new world we are in...
